Collaborations

At Malai, we believe creativity thrives in collaboration. Our journey has been shaped by partnerships with visionary artists, designers, and craft clusters who push the boundaries of material innovation. Each collaboration is a testament to the versatility of Malai, revealing its potential in applications as diverse as woven crafts, corsetry, footwear, and toys.

From the intricate Kannadi weaves by Forest Post to bamboo and Malai mats by Eva Jonsoi, organic footwear collections by Lucie Trejtnarová, and experimental designs by STU Bratislava students, these projects showcase how Malai transforms in the hands of creative practitioners.  Unique textures, forms, and functions that inspire new possibilities for biomaterials have been explored.

We invite designers, artists, and brands to join us in experimenting with Malai and discovering its potential for groundbreaking, unconventional applications. Let’s create a sustainable future together, one innovation at a time.
